My name is Valerie LaForge, I am 30 years old, and I have been around VSM since the beginning of 2026.

I met VSM on a mission trip in Oceanside California. The ministry that VSM was serving invited me to join the trip, and this trip changed the course and direction of my life. Doug, and the other staff members were some of the kindest, coolest, and most down to earth Christians I had ever met! I truly couldn't believe they existed! I felt like I had been searching for people like them. I ended up spending almost a week with them, skating, surfing, serving, and having spiritual conversations all day long and around a campfire at night. I learned SOOO much in those 6 days together… about myself, about God, and about who I am as a Daughter of the King! Before meeting VSM, I had been praying about wanting to do a discipleship school, and even applied to other programs. Throughout the week I found out that VSM had their own version of a discipleship school called School of Foundation and Identity! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I immediately knew I was going to sign up for the school.

When I met VSM I was a professional surf skater, team rider for GRLSWIRL, influencer, and world traveler—I was searching and seeking for something that would fulfill me. When I found out about School of Foundation and Identity, I told my community that I would be going to Brunswick Georgia for a three month school to grow in my relationship with God. Well I did the school, and then I did the internship, and both changed my life again… and now here I am typing out an introduction as a staff member. GOD IS SO WILD! And His plans are SO different from my own plans. And in my journey of obeying Him and serving Him with my life, I have found my home at Veritas Shapes Ministries, serving as a local missionary.
My goal is to raise $2000 a month through monthly supporters. I am always grateful for anyone who wants to invest in what God is doing in my life. If you feel led to partner with me, please click the donate button!
Thank you for being a part of what God is doing in and through me to share the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
