My name is Emily Eggleston, I am 23 years old, and I have been involved with VSM for a little over one year. I became a Christian at the beginning of 2023 after having a dream which led to a supernatural encounter with God. Before the dream I was involved with the occult and new age practices such as tarot readings, astrology, crystals, psychic meditations, chakra balancing, astral projection, and manifesting. Ever since the encounter I have been following Jesus.

In July of 2024 I received a phone call from a friend who was visiting Brunswick for a weekend and she had asked me to travel with her, insisting that God told her to bring me. As soon as we entered Brunswick, His voice clearly told me “you need to move here”, and while in the moment I didn’t know why, once I had arrived at The Hub and learned the heart behind the ministry, I knew why God told me to move to Brunswick. Two weeks later I was living in Brunswick. By the end of the fall semester God had made it clear that He wanted me to surrender 6 months of my life to SOFI and an internship the following spring (2025), and by the beginning of March I was sitting in a classroom with 5 other people who took an opportunity to grow with God. The entire experience was incredibly transformative: ranging from the ways I experienced God to the truth I learned about Him. During the internship I had the entire summer to work with the ministry up close and see the work that goes into it. Now I am finished with the internship and preparing to join staff full time beginning November 7th. My goal is to raise $1,000 a month through monthly supporters.
