My name is Ansley Brisendine , I am 20 years old, and I have been involved with VSM for a little over a year now.

2 years ago, I became tired in my aimless, worldly ways of living. It was when God revealed to me my true identity and puspose - being made in love, created to be loved BY Him - that the trajectory of my life changed. I grew up going to church & hearing the “salvation gospel” message time and time again, yet was clueless as to what it looked like to walk in a personal relationship with God. I once believed that I had no true purpose or value… and looking at my life when I was lost, it’s clear that those agreements shaped my life. Now, looking back almost 2 years later, I’m finally learning how to walk in confidence of who I am as a daughter of God- and who He is as my Heavenly Father. The growth of my convictions isn’t a mystery - but because of genuine discipleship I get to experience through VSM.

In the Summer of 2024, I attended a VSM life study for the first time. I realized quickly that this wasn’t like any other church gathering…
At this Bible study, we didn’t receive another truth - but were told to actually tend to truth we’d already been given. Though I’d consistently been in church my whole life, I’d never been challenged to make my faith look real. After listening to such a piercing teaching, as well as seeing other believers genuinely fighting to grow in godliness and love, I couldn’t come up with a reason to stay away.

In the Fall of 2024, I left my hometown and moved down 4 hours to Brunswick, GA, to get more involved with VSM.
This past Spring of 2025, I attended VSM’s 3 Month School of Foundation and Identity and then followed that with VSM’s summer internship.

Starting this November 1st, I’ll be a full time missionary on staff with VSM.
